Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most EverKeep films are completed within six to eight weeks. Every experience is customized, and our team handles everything—from planning and interviewing through editing and final production. Timing may vary depending on the scope of your family’s story and the amount of archival material included.
-
Our team creates a relaxed, comfortable setting where conversation can unfold naturally. Your Story Architect guides thoughtfully planned interviews while our filmmakers capture the stories, expressions, and meaningful moments that make your family unique. There are no scripts to memorize and no need to perform—just time together, honest conversation, and your family being themselves.
-
Yes. EverKeep comes to you, allowing your family’s story to be filmed in the places that feel most meaningful—whether that’s your home, a family gathering, or another special location. Travel arrangements and any associated costs are discussed clearly during planning.
-
Absolutely. Photographs, home movies, letters, recordings, and other meaningful keepsakes help bring your family’s history to life. With your permission, EverKeep reaches out to loved ones and invites them to contribute materials. We digitize and preserve those memories in your family’s EverKeep Vault, where they can be shared and enjoyed long after the filming experience is complete.
-
Anyone who has helped shape your family’s story. That may include parents, grandparents, siblings, children, grandchildren, extended family, or close friends who feel like family. Your Story Architect will help identify the people and perspectives that will make your film meaningful, complete, and uniquely yours. Ultimately, you decide who—and what—appears in the finished film.
-
Absolutely. You’ll have the opportunity to review your film before it is finalized and request changes. Your Story Architect will guide you through the review process to ensure the finished film reflects your family’s story in a way that feels authentic and true to you.
-
Your finished film will be delivered on physical drives presented in a handmade EverKeep Keepsake Box—something beautiful and lasting for your family to preserve and pass down. It will also be available through your family’s private EverKeep Vault, where you can watch, download, and share it alongside your digitized photographs, home movies, and other keepsakes. Families may also choose to celebrate the finished film together with an optional private family premiere.
-
Additional copies aren’t necessary for digital access—your film can be shared with the family members you choose through your private EverKeep Vault. For those who would like their own physical copy, additional drives and Keepsake Boxes are available for purchase.
